I thought this was a cool idea.. Use a compact truck (wide) bed floor and part of the tubs for a flareside.. This guy used a s-10 bed but I bet there are enough options to fit many different needs.
This guy had sides & fenders but I think a bed could be built from scratch quite easy using a floor like this.. Just add some sides and some fenders and wala.. Well a bit more technical but you get the idea..
A friend (not a member here) had talked about using a Ranger Splash bed on his slick, he claimed it would fit and look good on shortbed flareside, dimensions, location of fenders, etc. He could never find a bed for what he wanted to pay and after several years of looking gave up and sold his truck.

this is exactly what i did in my `49 international as the original was totally rusted away, but the sides were still solid. another beautiful part was that i was able to adjust the height of the bed floor in order to lower the bed along with the rest of the truck. i`m using the s-10 frame and the rear channels rise over the rear end. actually looks good.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that belongs/visits killbillet.com . I think the rodders on there have some of the coolest ideas. this could work with alot of beds. Thanks for posting a great idea....
