Lentech has AOD's with FE bellhousings available which is the way I would go!

just because something can be fabricated to work does not make it worthwhile.

i do not see any good reason or point in doing it.

not going to say any more about it other than its someone elses and they can do what they want.

Same reason my brother traded his in for a FORD. 2 tranny rebuilds at 1800 a pop was enough.

This is probably the older 700Rs like what was in my wife's '87 Monte Carlo which one of the few times she let me drive it I drove like I do my FORDS and tore the 700r up.
Glad that car is GONE.

So theres a good AOD that will bolt up to my 352 FE and stand up to it? What can I get one out of? Are they easy enough to get some better shifting out of too?

The FE bellhousing is grafted to the AOD. Expect to pay around $3000 for a Lentech that will stand up to your truck.

If you look around on the transmission adapter sites you can find a plate or bellhousing to put almost any thing on almost anything. Most of these are marketed towards racing where because of rules and aftermarket there can be advantages to oddball swaps. Alot of racers aren't totally brand specific anyway. Heck if you put a roots blower (no matter if it says BDS or B&M) on a Ford engine you are sort of brand mixing anyway, they were originally developed by GMC for truck diesels. Have you ever heard the old term "6-71 GMC Blower"?
