New Vinyl for Door Pockets

Post by needmoretime »

Finally a look at the new vinyls for old door pockets. Let me know what colors you would like to see available. I have a upholster on hand.

Currrently working out cost which will be based on interest.

Wayne: I would be in for three (3)...But not necessarily all at the same time, maybe over a few months. Red, Grey and White. (I could only vote for one color). Any solution for replacement of the trim pieces? All the ones I have are cracked. They may be usable, but they aren't perfect. BTW: They look really good.

Ice, I have black ones. I got them from Bob Drake. They are very nice.

Someone was making billet alum trim rings once upon a time. JC got me some from SS2 and they are beautiful

Would it be at all possible if we sent you our own material to do the pockets if we had a specific color? Not sure how you're going to have these set up.

As soon as i get a price I will pass it on. Zippers IMO were always an issue. I found a source in limited colors. I don't see your request as a problem. I also would like to get an old cc door panel and see what he could do with that as well.

My thought is he could make a bunch of these vinyls to supply an otherwise scarce item that seems to be an issue when dealing with used door pockets or replacing the black ones that come from Drake (that are very nice BTW)

Again, finding a zipper source that would look good was my hang up.

Thanks,

Hi Wayne,,

I didn't vote.. It will be a while before I can start thinking about my interior.. Here is a thought though, what about a silver / stainless zipper on all colors?? I think it would look great with the trim.. :dontknow:

Zippers are a tough item. I'll check!

Maybe someone with an original door panel not in use, will "loan" you one. I only have an aluminum one I made and a black plastic "re-pop".

 Thanks Wayne, didn't realize they came from you. Had many compliments on them. I have a spare door pocket that is original and I will probably never use. Can send it to you if you want.

Hey Mark,
I will find a macster that may have an old panel. I have door buckets but thanks anyway. Just trying to think of what we would liek to see available that does not require an on site custom job everytime we turn around.

Keeping it simple I hope!

Need any scuff plates for your inside steps?? :dontknow:

Hey Wayne,

They look GREAT! Nice work (as always).

How about some shade of green for the guys with stock Holly Green Slicks?

Later...Bill
