New valve covers... What is it 27 or 28 cold beers???

Trying out the "salt flat" wheel covers

Still working out the details on how to mount. I wish the lettering was the same as Anthony's so I could use a wing nut.. Chad's ( 1st64bigwindow ) is mounted with a bar, I can't really do that as it will cause sealing issues.. I'm thinking I will cut a round panel leaving tabs around the perimeter that will snap down into the hub cap..dotcentral wrote:Jason
how about a photo from an angle where we can see the top of the aircleaner/hubcap?
Looks good.

Thanks Michelle!! I'll trade you trucks anytime..Michelle wrote:Jason, I am fairly new to the board and just read the thread. You do fantastic work and your truck looks great. Can't wait to see the finished product. Keep sending the pictures, I live vicariously through your work.

I read in a 4x4 mag (don't remember which one), moly grease is what to use between leafs. I am currently rebuilding my leafs as well, and did a little research on it. But the spring shop that I called about rebuilding my leafs for me said "It's not necessary to have anything between 'em", I don't know if I believe that or not, that's probably why I'm not having them rebuild mine. But the moly grease sounds like a good idea to me, so I plan to use that.jwh f-100 wrote:dot, yes good thought. I'll probably just "double nut" it. Still can't bring myself to drilling holes in the cap..LOL
Anthony, If you want I'll get the part# of that filter, it seems to work well with the hubcap..
As far as the truck no updates, saving cash. Working on the plan for the front end. I want to remove a leaf or two, relace all the spring bushings, sway bar, and clean up the leafs.. Anyone have a sugestion on what to apply between the leafs??? (some say grease others will say that's a bad idea)
I did inspect all steering parts. My 6 yr old rocked the wheel while I inspected, everything looks good, Bonus! He then demanded I rock the wheel while he got on the creeper and looked around. He agreed all looked good but said there was a big problem...... "the rear wheels are not steering"

No it was on Craigslist. I got lucky with it. It was located near one of our shops. The PO droped it off for me, then a guy from work brought it back to the shop I am at. So for $20 was delivered to me..Greg D wrote:That looks good in there Jason - same yard you took me to?
