I got some paint on it this weekend. I will post some better pictures in a few days. When I can get the bed back on the frame and roll it out into the sun.

Got back from my honeymoon Thursday night. I have made some progress this weekend. I had one setback, the tubes on my new heater core are too short. I will have to try to get it straightened out tomorrow. I got the windshield, sliding back glass, firewall pad, steereing colum, booster, and some other misc. things put back on. I am also going to try to get a kit ordered tomorrow to build the 4 spd. Here's a couple of pictures.

Thanks for all the compliments. I am not going to abuse the old girl, but she will be used to pull a trailer, drive to work in bad weather, and just play in the mud every now and then.

I can't wait to see this build, it's exactly what I want to do on a future project. 65/66 on a modern frame, ps, disc brakes, 4x4. maybe i'll just buy yours!

Sorry Greg, I built the truck about 20 years ago so I guess I will hang on to it.

I set the motor back in this week. Got the inner fenders and core support painted and bolted on this weekend. We got put on mandatory working your 6th day about a month ago. That dosn't give me a lot of time to work on it. On top of that, I found my water heater leaking today. I spent half the day going to town to get one, and swaping it out. Here's a few pics.

Gregg, I did it one piece at a time. I started the bolts in the back of the inner fenders, then sat the core support on the frame and started the front bolts. Then I hunt the fenders with a couple of bolts to make sure every thing was adjusted right before I tightend every thing down. I am using the 66 harness with the 79 electronic ignition harness taped in with it so it looks like it should. I will try to take a pic of it tomorrow.

Gregg here's a picture of the harness. Got it and the radiator in this evening. Cranked it for the 1st time in months. I actualy pulled it out of the shop and made a circle in the yard. Now to paint the front cap and tailgate, and finish working out the bugs.
