Wyatt's Mini-SlickStock Show-N-Shine Birthday Party

Post by Sinc »

Greetings from York, Pa!

Today, several members of the MAC met at Wyatt's place for a birthday party turned show-n-shine turned mini-SlickStock. Thanks Wyatt for hosting your own party. We all had a GREAT time!

Now this is a backyard!

Image

We had 11 trucks on hand (10 of them were Slicks):

Here's Charlie:

The Birthday Boy:

Yes, you're seeing correctly. That is Flashback Tom. Tom, his wife, and dog drove 8 hours from North Carolina to be with us. That is a long way for a bottle of water!

Image

Next up is Dwight:

Followed by Jim:

Followed by our token '57 owner, Carl:

Here's Chad with his TWO Slicks. The friggin' show-off:

And rounding out the Show-N-Shine portion is Ben:

Of course, no birthday party is complete without a cake:

So, here's the motley crew:

Happy Birthday Chuck (er, ah, I mean Wyatt)! Thanks for a great time!

P.S. DANG IT! We forgot the spanking.

I definitely had a great time, the biggest surprise was Tom showing up from North Carolina! It's funny how you never get tired of looking at these trucks.

Thank you everyone for making our mini slick stock a smash. I had a great time looking at the trucks and cooking for everyone. That's the best my yard looked in a long time. LOL
The birthday thing kinda caught me off gaurd along with Tom and Kathy driving up from North Carolina. Now that was a surprise I didn't expect. Thanks Tom and Kathy. Hope you had a good time and a safe trip home.
Thanks Sinc for the cap and thanks Tim for the card and cake.
I hope every year the gathering gets bigger.
Great job on the pics Sinc. :thumright:
I'm tired and at a loss for words.
Thanks again to everyone.

Happy Birthday Wyatt. Looks like a great time and a good gathering of slicks. Could someone add "screen names" to the names and truck pics to help match names with faces? Thanks.

All I can is WOW,,
Chuck has a nice layout in the backyard, inside the house nice, most likely a smart dog sitting in the A/C Watching the History Channel while everboy else is outside almost called 911 for Chuck's grill
Tim gave you a liitle hard time on directions but you where great not saying anything to the bitter end, both you and carl where right like go 83 to 581 to 81 when we got over in Winchester it was 45 minutes shorter in time but like few miles longer
Carl great job on taking pics, like those leds lights on the back ofhis 57
Chad, Wayne, Jim, Dwight, Charlie, Jason glad to see you again and some new people like Fran with his son Franks thats doing a trucks as well
Then Bill was surpised then saying he was thinking of a surpised guest, kept thing it was Greg or Kid
The Wives and Girlfriends did a good job and when we left going on the 2nd round which was plenty of food to go around
Thanks Chuck and the Mac Chapter for this event, I know I see some of you at shows but you know have to work so its short talk but it's so great to have a get-away like this like that commercial says

x mount of dollars for this
x mount of dollars for that
but going to slick BARQQ Priceless :D :D :D

You know, it makes me feel great that we have the kind of people that will attract a guy from 4 states away just to come to a barbecue. I think that's impressive. I always enjoy just sitting around and talking with you guys about whatever...need not be trucks...welding, high school, traits of Jack Russel terriers, whatever. Why else would I drive a 40+ year old truck to Iowa and back?

Thanks to all!

I thrashed late friday getting Johns truck on the road. It was really the maiden trip since the brake upgrade and rewiring. John enjoyed everyone as well. He has a 2 hour trip once getting back to my house.

Chuck, Thanks for a great time. Its good to see inovation at its best.
