front end bolt kits

i need a bolt kit for my front end now that the front end has been stripped and primered. after the truck was smashed into i needed to replace alot of sheet metal and alot or rusted or sheered off bolts. ive searched for the bolt kits and ive found alot off different prices and styles. what has everyone else used? what do you recommend? who do you recommend? here are 3 vendors i found:

i know "ranger" in ca. recommends totally stainless but there kit is $246! i would like to use carolina classics because there just good guys and members here. but i think there kit is not as complete as totally stainless. i would also like to stay as original looking as possible and totally stainless black, stainless steel, indented hex head bolts will look very original. are carolina classics just stainless steel? im just curious why there is a $157 difference. thanks

i can't give any advice on what to use, but i'd like to see your choice once it has been made.
right now my choices are between original rusty bolts, or original rusty bolts that have been soaking in oil.

I would go to a fastener company and buy some indented hex head steel bolts. They would be a lot cheaper. Why use stainless if you are not going to be driving your truck in snow and ice. When I rebuilt my 56 in the mid 90s I used steel and they still look new and I have over twenty thousand miles on the truck. If you are like me and do not live near a fastener company, you can always find them on the internet.

I ordered all of my replacement fasteners from Auveco and picked up the order at a local distributor. Exact same bolts and u-nuts/j-nuts. Black oxide finish.

You'll have to buy in bulk - 25 qty., 50 qty. ,etc. but you'll need to do that anyway to put the front end back together.

ill check out auveco. not sure if they have a distributer in phoenix. i wouldnt mind buying the hardware in bulk. i have a fastner company right down the road (copper state). but i dont know the sizes and quantities that i need to put the front end back together. does any one have this info?

I don't know how close they are to you, but Space Age Paint, on
Country Club in Mesa has a pretty good selection of Auveco bolts,
clips and the like.

Check with Howard's Ace Hardware at 32nd St. and Indian School. Howard was telling me yesterday that he is an Au-Ve-Co dealer now and is stocking a lot of automotive fasteners. He said that he is just starting to get them organized so you might have to look through some bins to find what you are looking for. Maybe call him and ask. Tell him I told you to call.

ill check into the bulk idea. but the problem with that is i dont know the quantities, sizes, thread, pitch of the bolts and all of the other pieces. any one have a list?

Fellas, give me a couple of days and I'll make a list of what I have. I ordered mine a couple of years ago and have them nice and neat in a parts bin in my garage with the each box top and fastener in it's own compartment.

I'll have to go in there and write them all down. I'll give you bolt/nut sizes as well as the Auveco numbers I used.

Auveco is good stuff.

I gave the platers a jar of rusty dirty bolts and for about 20 bucks, had everything Cadmium plated. No complaints
