Hey, ive only been a member here for a few months but i have really enjoyed reading about y'all. I am not sure how to post pics in threads but have a few of my 62 unibody in my gallery. I also have a 66 short that i will post pics of soon. I am currently working on the 62. I have stripped the truck, repaired floor, pillar, cab corner, bed where torque tube welds in, and welded bed seems and smoothed everything out. I sometimes get ahead of myself on the repairs and work on stuff out of order ( I want to get it done). I have a 75 Lincloln donor for the 460/ C6 and am planning on building a tube front end for it. If anyone out there have the dimensions on the torque box iwould appreciate it. That is next on my list for replacement. I just recently finished fabbing up new cab supports that can be seen in my gallery. More to come.

Re: Thanks
':welcome:' from Louisiana. Why don't you add your location (city & state or at least state) to your profile? Click on "Profile" at the top of the screen and fill in the blanks. That way other members will know where you are located, which can be invaluable when you need to buy or sell a part or a member may be close enough to stop by and help you with a problem.62uni wrote:Anthony, I am from Wildwood Tennessee, (Maryville) It is a little south of Knoxville and West of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Thanks, for the comments.
BTW: You have a spare room available during the F100 Super Nationals? '' (Jus' kiddin'!)

Lead in seams. Has anybody done this?

Has anybody tried this? This is my first attempt on the seams where the cab and bed meet. working OK I guess, just slow working it down after it is applied.
I started the same fill job on my roof/bed seam. I stopped working on it to finish the drip rail (I was originally working one whole side of the truck at a time). Kind of tedious but should look cool when done. I'll get back to it after I get a C25 tank for my MIG, it'll go alot better with gas.
I'll be picking up a tank this week.
Are you doing the drip rail? If you do let me know and I will fill you in on some things that you will encounter. I have about 24" left to shave around the front drivers corner so I've hit about every situation you'd find doing it. I will have to go back over all most of it for fill welding too.
