Dodged a bullet

Post by Fanatic »

After my grim discovery Wednesday.............

Image

Image

I began slowly unravelling the mess......

Image

I'd say I was pretty lucky.......small dent and scratch on roof
Image

And some missing paint on the drip edge.

I sure expected worse!!!

If that was a modern vehicle it would have been inside out, on fire and leaking fluids all over your lawn. Good save

Glad to see you made out relatively well, Tim. Dean and I were at a swap meet yesterday, saw one of those portable garages just like that there. Here it would be called a "Sail"

I told Dean I could use it to come visit him without spending any gas. it would blow the 100 miles east in just over an hour, I figure
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

Glad it was minor stuff. So, what are you going to replace the carport with?

This might be the time to start thinking about a tu-tone paint job now Tim.
I'm sure the better half will agree. She's a nice lady. She's my favorite gal from Leesport. :rotflmao:

Found one more 7 " gash in the drivers door....no dent just thru the paint to metal.
I know what you mean about a sail JC but I had it anchored to 6 tractor trailer brake drums 200 lbs each.
UP was not the issue this time tho LOL

Always breezy here, thats why I stopped using a regular cover---it was rubbing on all of the corners.

I will repair but with STRONGER pipe! It will stay this time. My boro allows these but I looked into a metal carport and they want to treat it like a building as far as codes go. So if that was the case --I'd put up a building.

I have been bugging Wyatt to let me park in his garage for years........maybe now he'll feel sorry for me!

And I don't want a 2 tone truck!
