For those with Jeeps

Post by 66fordtrucknut »

For those with Cherokees, with power windows. This is a pretty cool fix and doesn't cost anything. I just did this on my son's truck, worked great. I varied slightly and didn't cut the plastic all the way off, just where the plastic teeth grab the cable. Saves alot of money and won't break again.

My dad and my uncel bought 2 jeeps at a auction after they got back from the veitnam war. After they had them for a long time they got sold to other family members. Dad drove his every were even to work (about 40 miles from the house I grew up in).I don't know if all jeeps wer like that one but you could put it in 4wheel drive low and it would pull like a tractor. We went hunting fishing and jeep ridding in the woods with those jeeps,a bunch.

I knew there had to be a way to fix that POS design! I have replaced 5 widow regulators in my daughter's '04 Liberty. She loves her Jeep, and it's paid for, so what can you do?

Yeah and it's a simple fix, and cheaper than a new one. Took about 45 mins to do, most of that was taking the door apart and putting it back together.
