It must be the season for whatever you call the creepies to come out of the environment or such,
to screw up otherwise good forums & websites. shrug.gif

I'm glad I missed the one that does not exist any longer, he sounds like a Mouthful. Really wrankled
a few folks & y'all are a pretty laid back bunch here. scared.gif

There is a guy over on FTE who thinks he's an expert on everything based on the FoMoCo Parts Manual.
Don't get me wrong, the FoMoCo Parts manual is one thing, but it is not the laws of physics, or gravity,
it's only a AUtomotive Parts Book. secret.gif

He corrects people as if he is an authority, and lately he has been getting cute, like he's having a hard
difficult time controlling himself and not calling folks an outright name or insult. It's a mighty thin veil if ya ask me. ss_pokes2.gif

All parts are not included in the Parts books, Crossover and interchange are not included, and often will tell people
they can't do what a lot of us do because he can't find it in the parts book. HMMmmpf. . . hunting.gif Bolt.gif

Didn't we just have a thread where we trashed parts prople who know little or nothing if it's not in
the book or computer screen :hm: :dontknow: ?

Well Y'all know what I'm talking about & that's how he actually comes across. Maybe it goes with
spring thaw or seasonal change or? nono.gif s_crazy5.gif nuts.gif

yeah i cannot stand the know it alls. usually you have someone who is insecure about their mechanic skills or somethin that has to be an idiot about it. good thing most of the ppl on here are old enough to know better and are laid back.

parts catalogs are fallable, and you'd be surprised what will work together that shouldnt. i used to work on tractor trailers, where everything was built by a third party anyway. and you could interchange all kinds of stuff that no one had done before...
For every person with a spark of genius, there are a hundred with ignition trouble

My '63 short wrongbed

"The Iron Rhino"
300 I6, 3 spd manual, DS II/ HEI ignition.

Stuff I added to Hints and tricks

-300-6 choke tube repair
-duraspark II/ HEI
-Horn ring contact tube repair
-turn signal indicator fix

Mikhail Kalashnikov and Nikola Tesla are the guys i think of when i build things.

yeah, I think its pretty easy to tell who knows what and who THINKS they know. I will be the first to say that I dont know everything but that doesnt mean I know nothing. I just learned alot with my last lil adventure and I hope what I know will apply to someone else and I can help them as others have helped me. :D
