Protecting cab mounts?

Since my former desert truck is now in the tropics, I wanted to figure out how I could prevent or at least slow the cancer formation that is inevitable down here. I bought the Por 15 kit to do the interior floor pans. I should have plenty left over so I was wondering if I should hit the cab mounts while I'm at it? Seems that is a problem area with these things that are a PITA to repair. Do you think I can just spray the marine clean and metal ready in the spots on the mounts I can't get to with a brush? Will the stuff damage the rubber on the mounts? Any other suggestions for protection? Thanks

Do clean and protect those areas but most of all do not clog any of the drain holes through out the cab and supports. With that also rinse those areas often to stop accumulation of dirt and debri.

Build some rubber mudflaps that hang down inside the fender..rocks then can't get to the steel of the floor..and cab mounts..
