WOOT, Made it to Austin

Post by ELpolacko »

I'm here. Everything worked out fine. A friend of mine had some clutch pedal issues and annother bud ran out of gas but nothing too serious.

The guy who broke the clutch pedal laywayed us in ElPaso overnight but that netted us a shop tour at MSD, yeah that MSD ignition manufacturer. What a place that is, if you are ever there check them out.

My new interior kicks ass. Special thanks to Garbz for staying up way past his bed time to help put it together!

I have Ford mirrors like that on my truck. Can't see a dang thing out of'em. Think I'll pu some later swing away mirrors on it, like my 82 had. Looks like they'll work alright. Good luck with yours.

Ha, yeah the passenger side mirror is for decoration purposes only. It won't move in far enough for me to see anything but two lanes over.

In Austin for www.lonestarroundup.com This is my third year in a row for it.

My compact flash card in my camera crapped out. I lost all my pictures other than the few I downloaded already. I will try and get annother card tomorrow morning, Lots of cool stuff here to see.

Steve, that's great you go to the roundup! I work part-time at The Continental Club here in Houston and the place pretty much shuts down so everyone goes up to Austin this weekend and drive their rat rods to the show.

Looks like another great Round Up! I'd love to make it down for that some day. It's just such a haul from Seattle.

In Las Cruces New Mexico tonight.

I ran into a guy in Van Horn Texas at Chuy's restaraunt in his 1940 Ford Sedan delivery, FROM OREGON! :o Said it was his second trip to the round up.

So far so good. Pretty uneventfull trip home.
