New member with '66 F100 LB CC

I am new to the Slick 60 ownership but this particular truck was my dad's and is now in my possesion in need of a few(alot) things.
My dad bought this truck new in Feb. of 1966 when I was 5. The dealership gave me a model of a '66 Mustang with an electric motor and working tailights and headlights.
I posted a message in the parts wanted area about the short(13.5") brake cable as to where I might be able to buy them. Is this cable a standard part for the truck with a long wheelbase?
Over time I will have many more questions about the truck as I spend time checking out items needing attention.
My plan is to have the truck painted in it's original color which is antique bronze.

This truck went south for many vacations over the years while I was growing up. 2 kids with mom and dad.

Why are these trucks called Slick 60's?

mainly because they were made in the 60`s and look so SLICK!
