Thunderbird steering wheel fit?

Post by Kellxr7 »

I have been looking around for a different steering wheel for my 66, right now it has one from a 77 & just doesnt look right, a friend of mine has a steering wheel from a 62 tbird & said I can have it for a case of beer, just wondering what the chances are that the splines would match up etc?

Steering wheel and beer

Post by William-in-St George »

If you drink beer likley the dished wheel will not fit around your belly! I like a flat 14 inch wheel on a tilt column that has been shortened 2 inches. This way I can continue drinking beer and still fit behind the steering wheel (not at the same time of course)!!
