Paint scheme

Post by Michael Bryce Winnick »

If doing a two tone (medium blue-white) on a '66, what parts are blue and what parts are white?

Any pictures of any two tones so I can get the idea?

Thanks

Hey Steve...
I see your truck truck doesn't have the "steps" In front of the bed fenders
Was that original , or did you just not want them on there ?

Long story short [sorta] donor steps were junk, could not get the correct w.base steps, last June a member brought me a set, cut them down they've been at the body shop since shortly after that :cussing: got them back about 3 weeks ago, plan on installing in next couple of weeks  and I'll throw some pics on my project post once they are on.

Those steps must be a sore spot like the rear lower bed corners on the older styleside beds.

You doing a flair side or a style side?

Pat has the only flair with a two tone I've ever seen that looks semi-right.
If I was going to do have a flair, I'd have my color separation on the fender/ body line that runs below the hood and down the body and curves down to the bottom of the truck on the cab. Blue on the bottom of that line and white everywhere on the truck after that, bed, steps and hood included.

Chris Israel here in Texas has a beautiful two tone blue and white style side. He's using Grabber Blue and bright white.
Looks bitchin'.
I'm not arguing with you. I'm just explaining why I'm right.
Pardon me. Does your deaug bite?
