66 Rat Rod Shop Truck

Post by 1965fordf100 »

Picked up another Slick to enjoy while the build continues on the 65...I'm not sure how long it will stick around but there are a couple things to get done soon to make it look a tad better

Yeah the wife isn't too happy about this purchase to say the least, but its a fun truck to drive...thinking about respraying the satin black and doing a different logo on the door...the motor needs new gaskets and it needs a windshield

That will be a fun truck to play with. One of the things I like about rat rods is that you can be creative as much as you want and the only one you have to please is yourself. I like the lines of the 66 and look forward to see your progress.

I decided to make the interior a little nicer...painted it a satin red, cleaned up the gauge panel and painted it black...new windshield rubber should be here Wednesday so I can put new glass in...I didn't bother to tape off the windshield when I painted since its coming out next week...throwing around the idea of making some kick panels and carpeting the floor...I'm trying to find a mexican blanket for the seat but having having no luck locally...painted the exterior top satin white as well...just need to scuff it up a it to match the rest of the truck

I am liking what you have done so far. A new satin black paint job on there
would look great if you are so inclined. The scallops fit great with the theme.
Had thoughts of doing that with one of mine. Curious to see what you do next.
Yeah, insane shifter handle. Lovin' it! TR
