This is on my list too. My bed floor isn't all that bad, but straighter would be nice.

I'm in the same boat , so to speak.
I'm planning on cutting one out from a newer truck and grafting it in.

When I had the rusty '61 uni, I had a friend in the body shop business show me a couple different bed floors to use. There are some Dodge floors that have no holes in them for attachment bolts, they attach from below so you can put the bolt holes anywhere you want. Some newer Ford bed floors are also fairly close. His suggestion was to spend a couple hours in a junk yard deciding what style I wanted and get the year then he could order me a new floor pan from his suppliers. Use the main ribbed section for the center area and re-make the outer 4 corner pieces from sheetmetal and a little time with a sheetmetal brake.

My newest '62 has decent floors so I never followed up to find that "magic" year for a donor.

I used a mid 90's center floor I think.. :hm: I left the supports attached to the new floor and notched them to the right height then welded in and wala!! instant new floor... mine is not the straightest but for the $10 I spent, I can live with it...

Image the top side welded in...

I used 1/8th inch plate. Not original but so far holds up well.

I was thinking about adding a bed-over type of deal using 3/16Th steel diamond plate on my truck. This can be ordered cut to fit on the four corners and a 4x8 sheet as the center, tack it all in and paint it.
