New guy with a transmisson question
Hey guys, I'm new to the site and I have searched around on here but didn't see this in a topic. But I have a 62 step side that belonged to my grandpa, its been sitting for 16 years and i have recently pulled it from the pasture and started working on it. The original 292 and 3 speed are long gone and were replaced with a 302 and C4 out of what i can tell is out of a 70's model truck. My question is, has anyone put a t-5 in one of these trucks and used the clutch cable like in a mustang? I have one sitting around that came out of one of the mustangs i had years ago and i thought it would be cool to have a 5 speed in it. I just haven't figured out a good way to make the cable mount to the pedal. I know some fab will be involved which is no big deal I'd just like some input from someone that has done it already. Thanks!

hydraulic throwout set up is the easiest. not the cheapest but you're already ahead of the game is all you need to buy is the hydraulic set up which last time i looked was in the $400-500 range if memory serves.....
