Newbie From Tennessee

Hey everybody,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Steve (ezrodder) from West Tennessee. I currently own a 66 F100 CC SWB 352 3 speed. As far as I know its all original and I'm the 4th owner. It was bought new in a town about 30 miles from where I live and still has the original owner's manual with the name of the man who bought it.
I had been looking for a decent 65-66 for about 2 1/2 years when I found this one. It had not run in about 3 years. I got it home and parked it for a month. I started putting "things" back on the previous owner had removed when he decided to "restore" it. After about 8 hours I was driving the truck in the yard. Since then I have replaced exhaust manifolds, gaskets, master cylinder, brakes, hoses, belt and all fluids.
I just use it around the house for now. I also am rodding a 48 Pontiac convertible and that takes up my extra time and money so the 66 is my parts chaser.
I am a member of EZ Rodders of West Tennessee, NSRA, Goodguys and the HAMB.

Welcome to the group Steve. You've tapped into a great resource here, we've been around about 7 years now (give or take a few months.) And being here since '01 myself it's grown to ginormous proportions.

Just remember, there are no dumb questions here. If you're looking to do something to your truck, 9 times out of 10 we've either done it or are thinking about it......

If there's anything you need just give us a shout and we can either give you a hand or know someone who can.

haha nope.

It's relatively easy to load pics to the profile album, or you can get an account at Photobucket for free, and use the img code feature.

Very nice truck and welcome!!!! '66 shorty... I would like to get my son, for his first vehicle a 65 or 66 swb someday with a 65 grill like yours.

Rest assured there will probably be some questions as I go along. Mostly everyone around here is into the Chevys and you don't see these too often. There is a scrap metal place here with a 64 lwb truck good enough for some parts that I am trying to get the chrome rear bumper from. Hope they interchange. The bumper has a little surface rust on it but I like patina on an old vehicle anyway.

The rear bumper from a '64 should fit without a problem...well, other than the rusty bolt problem.

Looks like one of those 4 previous owners swapped it's original grille. Great looking little shorty, though.

Yeah I failed to mention that. The grill has been swapped but was like that when I bought it. It also has a rust issue on the hood. I have already bought another hood for it from a 65...only thing mine has the windshield washers and this one doesn't. Shouldn't be a big problem though.

Welcome, nice truck. Swapping the washers is just a matter of drilling 2 holes in your new hood and putting it all back together.
