Now that I solved my lowering issue, I want to see if anyone has used EZ-Wiring or Painless wiring harness. Is one better than the other, the same? Any issues with one or the other?

I bought a EZ wiring harness, but never used it. I heard that Ron Francis wiring makes factory style harnesses also.

I used the painless 18 ckt universal truck harness in my 64. But not much is stock in mine. Switches, ignition, charging system, etc are all updated or replaced so I cannot attest to the compatability with a stock system.
However, from reading the entire instruction booklet sent with the kit, you should be able to make it work.
If you plan future upgrades, like power windows, locks, A/C, etc. get the 18 ckt. Run the wires to the proper place andjust fold the wires back into the loom. Thay way, when your ready to hokk them up, you just need to grab the wire and go.
You will need to retain all connectors to terminate the harness, and I recommend soldering and shrinkwrapping everything.
Crimping is OK for temporary repairs, but you wouldn't want your ride burning to ground because a crimp fell off or broke a wire.

I used a Ron Francis harness on mine. I went with the "FORD POWERED ORIG BARE BONZ WIRING COMPLETE WIRING SYSTEM". The system was easy it came with a new Head light switch. You basically have a bunch of wires (all labeled printed on wires) that you cut to length after running them. This worked because I didn't always use the original path. It was a fairly easy system to use and it replaced everything including the wires going to the tail lights. I am happy with it some don't like it but it works great for me.
Picture of unit installed (I did leave a little extra wire looped up) and yes you can install it just about anywhere.
