Wheres the best angle/place to cut unibody bedsides off ?

I been looking for truck beds and came across a clean 62 unibody in a junkyard , the cab is good on mine and I only want the bedsides , I dont need the floor or wheel wells (due to the step notch and bags). Where should I cut below the back window? in front of the door jamb? He has to long beds that fit , but I really dig that unibody bed! I'm willing to cut my my frame to accomodate the bed!! Maybe even a little shorter than usual like a "68-72 blazer" wheelbase? ???

They use a "Uni" style bed on Slicks down in Argentina - VERY cool! I would cut off as much as you can take. I am thinking you are likely going to end up mating the uni bed to a regular cab/box truck bed front wall. BTW I would love to see this one pulled off!

Greg I took my "Huey helicopter" sheet-metal buddy with me to the junkyard, After looking at both beds we agreed on a regular longbed box with the tail lights, rear quarter and wheel well cut out and splice to the long bed. So it would be an "Argentina-long-unibed".................ever seen one of those, what do you think?

I am pretty sure the trucks in Argentina were both long & short. Seeings as you are doing this with a non Uni wheelbase I would go for the LWB box too if it were me, the wheel arches will likely be easier to line up.
BTW, someone posted a thread in here or "Off Subject" awhile back with ALOT of Argentina truck pictures & links. The pictures could be of some help to you.

I don't think I'd cut up a clean short uni, but if you must I'd suggest cutting the seam between the roof and bed rails, then cutting the cab floor just ahead of the pillar. That way the whole rear section stays intact and square, and you could save the cab/bed wall, bed floor and wheel wells for someone who may need them. Unibodies tend to rust out where the cab, bed, and floor meet and those parts are not reproduced...
