One owner slick

Post by 6166 Junkyard Dog »

Bought a 66 through the insurance auction yesterday,, One owner in the glove box found a extra ignition key & also in the enevelope with the original owners manual, and the card from a Ford Dealership in Concord, NC On 9/28/95 phone number had no area code and was ever lost had the address of the dealership,, this was a custom cab loaded,,, truck is little rough but runs good anyway sometimes its strange to get a truck with all the original paperwork still in the glove box... :o

That's a cool find, congrats! :thumright:
I got my '65 from the original owner too, but he sadly wasn't one to keep original paperwork & manuals...he was doing good to find the keys & title!

My 66 had the owners manual. Purchase date was Jan. 20 1966. The dealer was Byrum Motor Co. Inc., Sunbary, N.C. I did a search of the original owner but havent got in touch yet.

I have a difficult time loading photos also. Why cant this forum have a "attach files" when posting reply, like other forums. I have many photos , but have never posted one because of this.

I'll admit it is a little different with this site, but not too terrible once you get the steps figured out. :)

Wow, what a find. One question that I have had is: Is there a way to backtrack on the ownership records of your vehicle. I know when I had a Mustang you could go to Ford Motor and get the records on the car but I don't know if there is anything like that for the trucks.
