Decent 64

Post by Fanatic »

Found a pretty decent 64 short wide for sale in Jersey the other day. Only thing was that it was an old style engine swap and had a running 63 Buick nailhead in it. $4500

If it had only one zero I'd have figured a way to get it up on my flatbed and brought it home.

Well, if it was a Mercury with an original Y block in it, it MIGHT be worth 4500. Since someone has taken it upon themselves to improve it with a , of all crazy things, a Buick engine, worth about 1/2 of what a Nissan engine is, $450 would be a generous offer considering all the grief and pain you have to do to get it back to a truck worth a plug nickel again. When will these idiots realise that fords are worth more with Ford engines,,, duhhh.

When was a Camaro worth more with a Buick Nailhead in it? or a Mustang? or a Dart?
All vehicles from the same era. Go figure. The only thing a Buick nailhead improves the value of, is a Buick.

You could probably get a good buck for the running nailhead. I hear a running Buick engine of that vintage is somewhat rare. Then the truck is worth building but it would only work at around 2000. $1995. for the truck and 5 bucks for the Buick
From a guy without his Ford that he left on a rock in the North Atlantic.
