Did the 65-66 come out with any Factory Option bed rails? My 2 previous 65 and 66 both had rails that were chrome and were made from round tube with bullet type ends. The brackets if I remember correctly were angled forward.
They were probably aftermarket but just thought I'd ask some of the experts here.
I'd like to have a set for my 66 swb. It is just a beater so they would not have to be perfect.
Thanks in advance for any info!

i bought a set on e-bay several years ago for my truck. they are for the 8 foot bed, and are ford products, no idea what vehicle they came from originally.
they are square aluminum with 3 brackets per side.
biggest reason i have not used them yet is theres woodgrain sticker in peeling condition on the outer edge that needs removed.
i can take some pics if you want.

Those rails are still available thru Perrycraft.
Yeah I'm familiar with the square ones with the woodgrain. The ones I am talking about are the round ones that had a blunt point on each end. Chevrolet had something like them on a few of the early El Caminos I don't know if the Rancheros had them or not. They were mostly for looks, I would not want to tie much of anything of subsatnce to them. I don't have any pics but wish I did.
