Learned some new words Today
I was using the torch at work today and while I was cutting the molten steel sparked back at me and a chunk of hot steel went down my glove. I cant belive how hard it is to take a glove off with one hand while holding a burning torch at the same time all while dancing around and cussing. It turned out to be a small burn but it sure seemed like my hand was on fire for a second or Two..................Kid

i hate when that happens.
once when i was working in the machine shop, the lathe operator got a hot curly chip down the front of his shirt, talk about a quick strip, wild dance and lots of laughter except of course for him who was cursing loudly.
was putting wood in the furnace the other day without using the gloves, the flapper behind he door got me on the back of the hand so now i have a nice little racing stripe there.
lost my muffler one time, stopped and picked it up and then dropped it right away. no fingerprints for a while.

Yeah, been there, It's even worse when it goes down your shoe. I had a molten plop of aluminum down my shoe which leaves about a quarter size burn one time, 2 days later my foot swelled twice it's size. Since I'm a welder I've had some good ones over the years and wouldn't wish it on anyone

I don't do alot of torch work but I know what you mean about the hot stuff. Hot chips off an insertable mini mill have a nice way of sticking to whatever flesh they touch and leave nice little curly burns. Worst I've had was one on the ear lobe,,,,,, I could hear it sizzle.

I was mig welding the underside of my floor pans and got a nice little popper down the back of my collar - thought I had covered everything up! So naturally, I jumped up from the reaction and gave my new floorpan a good whack with the top of my head and thought the whole cab would shake down on me.
Had to go inside and drink an RC to cool off for a spell and reset my circuit breakers.

Taking off rear axle u bolt nuts with a air impact.. Well after four the fifth sticks in the socket.
So i took it off the head and instantly had no finger prints and a hand burned in a curl...Those suckers GET HOT!
And do you not hate MIG sizzlers in you ear? Thizzzzzzzzzzzthwop.......
And i have lit my beer gut on fire a time or two while welding as the shelf is a good catchall.

When I did my disc conversion I got hit in the eye with a hot piece of metal while cleaning up the spindles with a wire wheel. I was learning new language for days. I think the tiny burn on the iris is still there - little black dot. I've gotten some spatters welding too but not that bad.

Once had a spark plug unthread and fall out while going down the highway. Saw it in the rear view.......Stop........run back to get it.........pick it up.....YEAH RIGHT.......there I am standing in the middle of the road with a flesh eating hot potato. It cooled down til I kicked it back to my car. LOL
INEPTOCRACY: (in-ep'-toc-ra-cy) : a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.
