Unka Skip,
when you installed "Naidine's Nefariously neat Neon console" did you build a bracket to hold the shifter boot? I've bought one and wondered how you held the boot in place. Thanks for the help,
Casey
check out Uncle Skip's photos to see the console. It's really nice.
Casey.
You caught me...............
Yep.
I cut a couple of pieces of 2x1 pine to fit the ends of the console so they fit inside and snug. Then I screwed them to the floor and a screw thru the skirt of the console into the wood. Doesn't take much.
I used a SS trim washer for the console skirt.
Hope that helps.
Neat thing about this little console is that it can be mounted either way to adapt to what you have. BroncoTom had his backward from mine to accomidate the 4-speed.
Are we having fun yet?

ROTFLMAO
I'm not arguing with you. I'm just explaining why I'm right.
Pardon me. Does your deaug bite?
LOL, oh yeah I'm about to have alottsa fun.
Did you attach the shifter boot to anything or does it just sit in the console? I really like how it looks.
Casey.
No on the boot.
If you have a problem with it not staying in the console slot, I suggest that you use a very little gorilla snot. I've not had any problems with it as is, but you know how it is with this stuff. Try it and see.
BroncoTom has gone over to the dark side, and is working on a generic 66 Mustang GT notchback.
It does, however, have a bench seat......?????????
