lead substitute additives

read an article saying pre '71 engines need the stuff. They had some at the auto parts store, but the guy said it was week and that I should try to find it on the web. Any thoughts, advice, brand names etc.....?

'66 f100 solenoid wiring question

There are two red and black small wires that connect the solenoid to the starter and the ignition. Could anyone be so kind as to tell me which colored wire goes to which? I tried to keep it how it was originally connected but screwed it up.

Hey Thanks Ya'll, I'm going to get some pics uploaded soon. I've been replacing the tiny inline filters, but I got one of the clear ones in there now and I can see a fair amount of rust accumulating. How do I start on cleaning out the carb and fuel pump? ( I believe the pump is sealed) is this info ...
