I'm hoping to eventually get an early 50s Ford COE flatbed to make a hauler to get my 55 Wagon to shows. The only problem is that in Jersey, with the GVWR on those old trucks, I'd need a CDL! One way around that would be to mount the body on a modern F-350 rollback chassis as I've seen many guys do....

Craigslist Fun
As you know I have my 62 For sale on Craigslist. I certainly have had a lot of interest...too bad it's been mostly bull$#&*! So far, I've been offered in trade: a "good Russian Woman," a Barret Jackson Winning 68 Camaro, and a baby grand piano. The best though was a Nigerian Prince who...

Selling My 62 4 X 4 Slick
I posted this in the For Sale section but I wanted to take a moment to say thanks to all of the great folks here at Slick 60s who've pretty much taught me how to own, love and maintain my early 60s Ford Truck. Truth is, I just don't have the room to properly care for 3 classic vehicles. We'd planned...

From our friends on Y-Blocks forever forum; Check out these guys; http://www.autoelec.com/ They make a modern gear reduction starter specifically for Y-Blocks. It's much lighter than the stock unit. It engages from the front vs. our starters engaging from the rear but the bendix is specially machine...

Replacement Radiator for Y Block 62 Slick
After 1 week of research, a few outrageous estimates to repair my "classic" radiator, and seeing that a "proper" OEM replacement from LMC runs about $465, I finally found a good quality substitute for my 62 that fit with minimal headaches. Here's the best part...$199 bucks!...

replaced my 292 radiator with one from a 65 with 352. radiator bolted right in, had to get a aftermarket hose and adapter for the top due to the gooseneck on the y being a smaller diameter than the FE. bottom hose was from the FE. ICEMAN: I think I'm going to take your suggestion and just order a 6...

Radiator for a 62 Slick??
I'm looking for a complete new replacement or a repairable old radiator for my 62 F-250 4 x 4. It seems that mine is too far gone to save. It leaks from the upper and lower tanks plus the core shoots out a few high pressure jets of Prestone if it ever builds up any pressure at all! Radiator shops in...

Similar problem on my 62. The seams on both top and bottom tanks are about ready to go. the core isn't far behind. Most places don't stock or sell anything older than 1965. There's an old time radiator shop in the next town. I'm hoping he can repair my tanks, mate them to a new core, and solder on m...
