Now its been a year owning it , have put one her about 10,000 miles getting some of the bugs out of it so now I will start slow, One thing my goal is just a average truck that is our shop truck so if I need plywood to build a crate for a hood I don't have to worry about it or need to load like yesterday loaded 40 Batteries in it to the scrap yard. Anyway 1965 Mercury Long Stepside Bed, 390 Automatic 4-barrell. with a 95 F-1506 rear end under her.. Not afraid to jump in at any given time as the boys in Pa found out at Chucks Barbq when we showed up.
Old Wheels when we got in, then changed
New Wheels and Thanks for the tip from Garbz on the hubcaps Mike Kimbrel had to upgrade so we will run Disc on Front

Next found this A/C Mercury Unit over in Abilene,Texas of all places sitting in a 62 uni, does work no hoses yet though

Truck had a gate behind the seat but was for a short bed sold it to a girl in Paris France so the hunt was on for a long bed gate,, Well I bought this 48-50 turned into a 51-52 by switching top hooks and run with that for awhile
Now after doing some other mod's I bought down @ Pate Swap Meet mant yaers ago a 57-63 Merc Gate rough but workable,, cut thw whole section out, then cut a Ford Gate middle section out with some other mods this is now new gate still needs few tweeks will attend to befoere finally painting many moons from now

Something different on our hood, did not want any more clutter on the dash area so we bought this to see how its going to fit
look it's a tach
Now need to hook up,, but 1st put some type of sealer so no water gets in engine compartment

Tom...that little ol Merc is looking sweet. I would love to have a M-100 some time. A uni M-100 would be the best, but I'll just be happy with my little Ranger. Great progress...
Love the AC. Resembles my Sears unit that will be going in mine. The truck is looking great. What are the bumper guards off of?? They look cool . Keep us posted on the progress....... Anthony

I like so many trucks trouble is cannot keep all of them or work on them all,, I like to have a Ranger,, Uni etc.. we have the Ranger seats in our 72 crew and ride very comfortable.. Bumper Gaurds are 62/63 Ford Car with a little grinding will fit the 61-66 truck bumpers

Looking real good Tom.
I was going to use a tach like that on my 66 so it would have the sweep needle like the dash - I was going to mount it on the dash though.
1964 F 100 - I am going to do "something" with it.......
