My old 65 Mercury

Post by 6166 Junkyard Dog »

Now its been a year owning it , have put one her about 10,000 miles getting some of the bugs out of it so now I will start slow, One thing my goal is just a average truck that is our shop truck so if I need plywood to build a crate for a hood I don't have to worry about it or need to load like yesterday loaded 40 Batteries in it to the scrap yard. Anyway 1965 Mercury Long Stepside Bed, 390 Automatic 4-barrell. with a 95 F-1506 rear end under her.. Not afraid to jump in at any given time as the boys in Pa found out at Chucks Barbq when we showed up.
Old Wheels when we got in, then changed

Image

New Wheels and Thanks for the tip from Garbz on the hubcaps Mike Kimbrel had to upgrade so we will run Disc on Front

Next found this A/C Mercury Unit over in Abilene,Texas of all places sitting in a 62 uni, does work no hoses yet though

Now need to hook up,, but 1st put some type of sealer so no water gets in engine compartment

Tom...that little ol Merc is looking sweet. I would love to have a M-100 some time. A uni M-100 would be the best, but I'll just be happy with my little Ranger. Great progress...

Looking real good Tom.
I was going to use a tach like that on my 66 so it would have the sweep needle like the dash - I was going to mount it on the dash though.
1964 F 100 - I am going to do "something" with it.......
