well it has a full air ride suspension on it so...it will never be a dragger because it will literally destroy every body panel lol..

well, old rusty butt isn't going to be so rusty anymore lol...buying a new core support today for 50 bux (and by new, I mean its new!!), and rust free cab tomorrow for 200 bux...also trading the engine out for a bunch of rust/dent free panels and some trim pieces that I am missing...the cab is still savable but at the price I am getting the new cab for, i can't pass it up...

I think a trip down south would have been in order rather than drag that home. I don't know that I've ever seen a front bumper rust in half.

started the tear down tonight...removal of the front clip in pieces is a bad choice with all of the rust lol...did some more searching tonight so I will be attempting to remove it all as one piece tomorrow...I am really glad I got a new core support lol..

It don't look like it is in any worse shape than mine was and with time, patience, and a little $ here and a little $ there it can all be fixed on a slow build budget. If your going to put it on the ground, will you be cutting out the floor boards to channel it anyway? Along with the inner bed, won't it be coming out also to drop it over the rear axle? I guess what I am asking is, Won't the outer body panels be the only thing left alone to do what your wanting to? I think you have the right truck for the job. I can't wait to see the progress pics.......

I picked up a basically rust free cab for 250 bux last week cause mine needs more love than I have time for...actually, the only thing you to do get these trucks on the ground is remove a small part off the bottom of the frame under the cab....yeah basically, the outer panels are pretty straight though, although I am trading the 360 and tranny for a pair of straight fenders, hood, tailgate, bumper, grill, and all of the bezels, maybe more depending on what else he is willing to give me lol...the deal fell into my lap and the less work i have to do, the better..going to be running 20" dodge spare rims all around and I've got those on the way already...got the motor and front clip out tonight..tomorrow I'll be loosening the cab and bed up for removal as well yay..

well this project isn't dead...picked up a 66 shortbed truck for 400 bux last weekend to make mine a shortbed and also keeping the 8 lug so i picked up a 1 ton c10 front frame clip...tearing down the 66 right now so if anyone needs a 352 with tranny or a cab let me know lol...ill try to get pics up as soon as possible...i wont actually start building my truck until i have most of the parts...ive tried the other way of just buying as you need stuff and it takes too long lol

oh, and the truck is getting a 7.3 IDI diesel from a school bus...picking up the banks turbo kit tomorrow
