Just a few 64 F100 questions
Hello everyone i just joined the forum,,,,i have a 64 F-100 custom cab with a 302 in it and was wondering what headers would yall use??? and also i gotta ask about dropping it,,,would putting the axles on the springs work on a 64???,,ive seen a 60 with it done and was wondering if its the same on a 64

my 64 had a 302 with hedmann long tubes on it, but since the po did it i don't know the part #. sorry.

I could recomend a few things to do. I like my front end up a little, kinda like an old gasser car
. you could reverse your eyelets on your leafs. I did remove my center leaf and reassembled them. it dropped it down just a tad but not very much also changed the wear location on the old leafs. I think the best way would be to buy a front axel thats already made to drop. or look for some drop spindles ( if there is such a thing for these trucks)

no. no drop spindles for these trucks. reversed eye or mono leaf springs, or sub frame it.

You can get a little lower by removing some leafs, I pulled 3 from the front of my Uni. Everything up front on my truck is real tight though, I don't think I'd try it if your's needs king pins, tie rod ends, etc. Be sure to remove every other leaf NOT ones next to each other.
I haven't done the rears yet, I'll do them after I get the new tires & wheels because I'll run taller tires on the back and want to keep a little rake in it. Some will say this worsens the bump steer but I haven't noticed any issues with it. Here are some pics.
