Looking for Distributor for 64 F100

All,

I am looking to replace my original distributor on my 1964 F100, 292 engine, 3 speed. I want to go to a distributor that is breakerless, no points.

Does anyone know what my options are for this size engine? Do you know a vendor who sells the breakerless distributor? Thanks for your help.

You could convert your existing one to breakerless points with a Pertronix unit. They work quite well. Only problem is that if they die, it is not exactly easy to get a new one at the corner parts place.

Doubtless, the Y block fans will soon chime in, but I'd think that even if there is an aftermarket solution, it will not come cheap......

Obviously some of those are pretty pricey, but there are a few other options. BTW Summit also does sell Pertronix replacement parts.

I have read some where that the dura spark guts will install in the dizzy and hook it up to the box and go.
