Sounds like a sweet, well thought out project!
Welcome aboard.
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

Welcome welcome.gif . Where are you from? It sounds like a killer project. I am building something very similar. I have a 65 short bed F100. Its getting a stroked 390 (445 CI) But it will retain a mostly stock outward appearance.
Cheers,
Jarrod

Backyardresto

Welcome aboard and I am not very far from you. I live in the Silver Valley about 70 miles or so east of you. I do restorations in my retirement and am more than happy to assist you in any way I can. I have a few left over parts from the 61 UNI we did a couple of years ago. I can help you find parts too.
Again welcome aboard

Are you going to the 72 & Older Car dlane deal in a few weeks? If weather is nice I plan on bringing the boss over there.

I am thinking about bringing my un molested 62 uni to the Car dlane. It doesn't look anything like the one in my signature but it drives pretty good.
We are having a car show here in Pinehurst this August hope you come to it or maybe you have been already.
I need a contact for the Green Diamond media for my blast cabinet if you could let me know I would be thankful.
Call me if you can or email. I get to Spokane pretty often we will have to meet. I like unibodyboy's idea of starting a chapter. Could be a lot of fun.

Welcome to Slick 60s. You have found a home to share your restoration with and a site that you should have no trouble making some great friends. There is a Fort Knox of knowledge here about these beautiful trucks and plenty of jokesters that will help keep the restoration fun. Look forward to passing on what I can although after seeing the Boss, I wouldn't mind a few pointers myself. We are all picture junkies so don't worry about posting too many pics. The 427 sounds like a great idea, that should score well amongst the purists here. Nice to have another member from the NW. Good luck 8)

Jeez from Mark's sh!tty pictures you would never guess his wife is a professional photographer
[albumimg]335[/albumimg]
anyway he is referring to the way he took a ranger console and made it work with his hurst shifter, to look like stock.

Next week it should really turn serious as this first week was spent tearing it apart then making the carts to hold cab & bed along with a fender stand.
Fender stand...I'd like to see that pic. :D

Welcome aboard! By the looks of your shop, I was guessing you did restorations for a living, but maybe not? Man, would I kill for that shop.

Looking forward to any & all progress pics you want to lay on us. Good looking little project truck, too. :thumright: In my younger days, I always wanted to slap a 427 in my '66, just never got there.
