Grill Mods
Modified the grill to delete the turn signals. I will use Lucas type headlights with built in TS.

Yep if it don't fit force it. That is my Motto Alan..
Dave the shaft in the column is a cut off from a 61 to 64 ford box with a double D machined on the end. The collar to hold the column together is a piece of .125 3/4" ID tubing with 2 tabs welded to it with a cross bolt. Holds everything together nice and will allow me to run a stock 17" slick steering wheel.
The lower is a Flaming River Double D S/S that is a slide in fairly tight fit to the stock double D vibration joint at the bottom. It is in there about three inches. allows a bit of slip as the body and frame flex.

Johnny I am shooting to have it there.
Yes i placed a 2" Z notch in the front frame to slam it down lower.
I may be just as you see it in all patina and rust. I want to assemble everything get it going then blow it apart for powder and paint.
I figure i can do that in the next four months. Just need to watch the budget.

Garbz, the truck looks great! I will have to pick your brain here on the Dodge Dakota front end. I am going to ditch my entire Dropped I Beams, front disk brakes, etc and go with this with the fullsize hubs, etc to run 5x5.5. Only thing I need to figure out is the brake booster, steering, etc. With that steering setup like that, will my 351W fit with my 5.0 foxbody mustang headers? It took me a long time to find headers that fit in my truck and I have to backorder them which took forever and finally got something that looked great, functioned nicely and fit, I'd hate to go through the same thing again if they will not fit...
What did you weld the front end up with and where did you get the parts to rebuilt the ball joints, tie rods, bushings, etc?
Thanks for any info at all on this and tips!
