Man you have much bigger balls than me. I always balked at chopping one of these trucks as it has to move four ways at once.
Looking killer, as some one all ready stated you can cut down a used windshield and build the chop to that. You can easily cut one down with a shitload of duct tape and a sand blaster with heavy cutting grit like black beauty. A custom windshield can set you back five grand. No need for that when you can make one...
Another method is to sink the cowl but that's way to much work.
Keep it up. I may chop mine after i see yours finished.

Looks real good, Kid chopped a 64 - he cut up 2 roof sections so he only had 1 seam each way. So was the top chop always in the plans or did you just decide one day "I'm gonna wack it"?

There are several ways to do a curved w/shield cut.
1st-use a glass cutter, taking small slices off the curve at a time. Too much & the score wants to run the wrong way.
2nd-Garbz described using a thick layer of ducktape & a sandblaster.(I've never used this method, but I will try it soon.)
3rd-Use a small Makita type diamond tile saw with the blade set to 1 thickness of the glass
& cut both sides to the laminate. Then use a razor blade to cut through the laminate.
The stance is just killer,Twisted. Good glass guys are hard to find-you are indeed fortunate to have one.
Can't tell you how many top chops have been abandoned because of glass issues.

302?
Do you mean a 302 motor? You can use a Blue Thunder intake with Holley or 2100 2 barrels, get it from one of their distributors like Survival Motorsports. http://www.survivalmotorsports.com/imag ... _small.jpgtwistedfreak wrote: on the motor anybody know of or have a intake with a 6 pack for a cobra motor would like to carb it instead of the fuel injection.
Pony Carbs uses this intake with their tripower kit http://www.ponycarburetors.com/default. ... s#tripower
Barry Grant has a setup as well http://www.gnetworks.com/v4files/barryg ... images.pdf
There is also an attempt by an Australian guy to do an adaptor that bolts on the stock FI intake bottom to use the older Stromberg 97 carbs. No luck finding a link for that.

Looks great Twisted,it takes skills to chop one of these trucks, lots of compound curves.I always wanted to do one,now Ive got to find another one to cut up(making me regret buying a big window!),I like that you didnt just lay the A pillars back, looks more in proportion, keep up the pics.
