You should use those new holes in the bumper for ram air...kinda like a ford thunderbolt from back in the day.

Or

You could go twin turbos!!! Yeah...more power!

chopped top

Post by racer10j »

It's funny how things work out some times. I was on the phone with Troy
Sutton from Yuma Arz. today getting advice on how to chop my 66 after seeing photos of a 64 he had done some time back. I am an experienced fabricator (WWII aircraft) but have never chopped a roof, and I'm used to working with aluminum -vs- steel, and tonight I thought I'd get on the slick forum and I could not believe my eyes when I ran across your project. Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! You did just exactly what Troy suggested to me almost to a T. The best part for me is that you have provided the visual aspect of the process that I so desparately needed.
My motivation is high and now my confidence is even stronger . I fully intend to document my chop as you have and post on this site as well.
Thanks again. You've inspired me.

the word "awsome" comes to mind after seeing that in primer. and i don't mean the skater/thrasher usage of the word either. i mean the actual meaning. "awe inspiring". it really is.

When you get some primer put on, it sure shows that all the time and hard work was worth the effort.
The truck is looking awesome.
