weather strtipping door seals Dennis Carpenter or LMC??
got a body man friend who is facing putting door seals on a f600 Bump and wanting info about the difference between dennis carpenters seals and LMC . I can save him shipping because I go by LMC every other day on my route should he pay the shipping or will he (being experanced at installing them ) be able to make the LMC ones work well? THATS THE QUESTION BOYS AND GIRLS????

I bought LMC and put them on for fitting of the doors. They never did shut properly. One door shut fair after 8 months and the passenger door had to be slammed. They are going in the scrap pile of big mistakes and I am going to buy DC.

OK, I'm guilty of LMC door seals as well. And they have not been good to me.
Question for all those following this thread -- so if I tear out the LMC seals it will leave behind the black goo we used to stick them on.
Anyone know what sort of solvent I can use to get that goo off without messing up my paint?
I am tempted to go DC but for my fear of messing my paint up getting the old glue off.....

Mine is in primer so I took laquer thinner to remove the spots of adhesive that I used. That did not hurt the primer but I would be careful on finished paint. I had to use a rag really soaked in thinner to get it loose.

Dennis Carpenter is the only way to go.
If you understand what you’re doing, you’re not learning anything.

Dave, I used " prep-sol " on Lenore`s clear over colour, with no trouble!, I`ll be ordering DC rubber from Tom soon .cdherman wrote:OK, I'm guilty of LMC door seals as well. And they have not been good to me.

Prep-Sol is what I would use, also go to like Lowes/Home Depot look in the paint section and see what might be there, then try a little area to see how the paint will react before getting too deep in it
