I knopw just what you mean about the fatter the tire the worse it is to steer. the PO put 245/40R15 on what looks to be a zero offset wagon wheel. NOT FUN. cuss.gif i already have a dropped solid axle with reversed eye mono's. So far the tires haven't rubbed. I know someone out there has lowered the...

:( I had noticed the huge offset on the mustang rims, but was still hoping that a 1 inch spacer would have remedied that. Thanks for the prompt reply. I had the opportunity to purchase some, now I will be looking the Cragar SS. So, what would be the desired offsets for the front and rear rims to get...

mustang rims on 64 f100?
I have seen a few trucks with the late model mustang torque thrust style wheels on them, and WOW, they look great. Those that have them have done suspension swaps to achieve the 4.5 lug pattern. I checked the overall dimensions of the stock mustang tires against those that I have on there now. They ...

Banjo, and i know exactly what you mean. i try to make my engine run as quiet as possible and then put the loudest exhaust on it i can find. :rocker: as far as the heads go, i didn't really have the money to go with different heads...

Thanks a bunch Banjo. Guess I will go shopping for an older set of replacement timing gears. Should I get OE or aftermarket? Any noticeable difference? Not wanting to build a race truck, just need some reliable ones. Later, I thought about some Hedman Hedders later, hope that will not pose a problem...

Fit a 429 timing gear set into a 460?
Has anyone here heard, or tried, to replace a 1973, 460 timing gear set with a 429 one? I heard that it increases HP and Torque, and since I need to replace it anyway, so I thought, why not?

Well I’ve been on the lookout for a while now, and Finally found some late model bucket seats that have the should seat belt in them. Of course, they’re Chevy :( , but since my truck is my DD, 3 point seatbelts are ideal, and I didn’t want to have to mount the shoulder strap to the cab. My question ...

I am assuming that the one in there is the original one, but we all know what happens when we assume, right. It looks to need another 8-12 inches. To tell you the truth I am not even sure that the end of the cable is the same end that would go in there. Dennis Carpenter doesn’t even list my year tru...

Help, Speedometer cable for a swapped 460/C6 into a 64.
The previous owner swapped a 460/C6 into my 64 and never reconnected the speedometer. I followed the cable through the firewall and down to the tranny to see why it was never connected. It seems that the speedometer cable is too short. So my question is this. What cable to buy that would work with a...

lowered shocks
my truck is lowered with reversed eye mono's (under a 460) and a rear axle flip. what i was wondering is if anyone knows how/where to get the appropriate shocks for this set-up. i have seen other members with same type of set-up but no mention about their shocks.
Please Help.
