Thanks Tom I've kicked around alot the best method to use and I know there are many opinions on how to get the paint off. I don't know if I will choose the right one as I know how big this debate is. Originally I was scared off by dipping but most of the myths about that process are from the product...

Hey all: I've been checkin out this forum with jealousy for the last year and I feel I'm finally ready to start sharin some of the photos and progress of my truck. She's an early '64 250 that was original owner and was in great shape. I paid $2500 for it a year ago February and it was from the origi...

1964 250 Hubcaps?
Anybody know/have a photo of the stock hubcaps on a '64 F250? I have the sales brochure and everything but I can't find what they looked like. Nobody that sells hubs for slicks carries that year. The slick I bought had some '78 van hubcaps on it which don't look to bad but I want to go original. Fou...

Thanks...I did use new nuts so I will be checking to see if I can find any with a thinner wall. Bearings are from NPD and they are foreign jobs. There seems to be a seem on the hub casting that is doing all the hitting. All I know is it didn't do it before but I'll figure it out somehow. Won't get t...

64 250 Dana 60 Hub Help...Please
Haven't posted in a while as I've been workin on my frame off when time permits. The chassis is starting to go back together now (after sandblasting and POR15 on everything). My question is for anyone who might have had the rear apart. I just put the diff back in and put the backing plates with the ...

Disc Brake Conversion F250
Anyone know if there is a disc brake conversion for the fronts made for a 64 F250 or for another vehicle that will work? All of the Slick ones I have seen out there have the 5 studs (not
and they are only for the F100's.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I have tried the impact...no effect and PB with a very large screw driver. At least its good to know that I can find replacements. May try the heat thing before I drill them out. I'm not concerned about screwing up the drums cuz I'm getting new ones. Thanks again...

Tinnerman Brake Drum Screws?
Have a '64 F250 and I'm trying to take the brake drums off. They have those 3 flush mounted tinnerman screws on the face of each drum. I got the rear drum ones loose with considerable effort (penetrator, very large screw driver and an impact driver for some of them). None of the screws on the front ...

Brake Line Diameters
I'm about a month into a complete frame off (early '64 F250). Its going very fast cuz the truck was in great shape to start with. As soon as I start reassembling it the brakes will be one of the first things I get to. Anyone here know the correct diameter of tubing to use? Best place to get quality ...

Ran into a problem with my cab mount bolts as well. Impact wrench got them all to move about a 1/4 inch down the threads and then they froze. I was hitting them with PB and trying impact/breaker bar. What finally worked was two people/two breaker bars; both with 3 foot jack handle extentions. Even w...

Steering column removal
Doing a frame off on a 64 F250 (my first) and I'm just about to the point of taking the cab off. Should be ready by next weekend. Haven't looked too close yet but how does the steering column break down? Should I take the gear box off the frame and slide the column out the bottom of the cab? Anybody...
